Latest News from Sheffield and Hallamshire Football Coaches Association
The League has received the following:
Our next guest has a wealth of coaching/managerial experience to share with us. Steve Weaver is currently working with Mick McCarthy’s recruitment team at Ipswich Town. Steve has previously been U21 coach/Assistant Manager at Wolverhampton Wanderers. He has been a coach for Manchester City, Assistant Manager/Head of Youth at Wrexham and European Scout for Blackburn Rovers. Steve is one of the elite Pro-Licence holders, achieved a degree in Sports Science and has been coaching for over 20 years. He has also been a Coach Educator for The FA and The FA of Wales. I’m sure you’ll agree this is quite a CV!!!!
(i) Steve will be providing an indoor presentation on his vast experience in Youth Development and the players different pathways into senior football.
(ii) Steve’s practical session will be on the transition of how the team counter attacks – and how to set the training programme around this.
Steve’s practical demonstration is an extremely important and currently very topical aspect of the game – regardless of what coaching level we are involved with. Interested??......then come along to our last coaching workshop of this season. Let’s give Steve the support he so much deserves for giving up his time voluntarily for our benefit.
When: Monday 11th May 2015 @ 7pm
Who: Steve Weaver – Ipswich Town FC
Where: Sheffield United Academy, Firshill Crescent, Shirecliffe, Sheffield, S4 7DR
