Sponsored snowflakes light up The Children's Hospital
Stunning snowflakes sponsored by big-hearted firms have illuminated The Children’s Hospital, and will help fund a world-class new wing.
More than 60 companies have sponsored the festive display on Western Bank, raising over £50,000 for The Children’s Hospital Charity’s Make it Better appeal.
The appeal needs to raise £10m to help fund the biggest healthcare project in the region – a huge redevelopment of The Children’s Hospital which will bring world-class facilities to the world-class hospital, and will benefit children from all over the region, the UK and the world.
David Vernon-Edwards, director of The Children’s Hospital Charity, said: “Thanks to the support of these businesses, we are a step closer to our appeal target. Our Make it Better appeal will help transform our hospital with plenty of private rooms with proper parent beds, a bright and spacious outpatients department with play tower and a secure outdoor space.”
