Hillsborough Pumas Diveworld
Hillsborough Pumas Under 11’s Orange manager Douglas Connor will be actively encouraging his team to dive for the next two seasons. The reason being, local scuba dive centre Diveworld, based on Holme Lane, Hillsborough have agreed a two year sponsorship deal with his side.

Douglas said “When I was looking for a local sponsor, Diveworld were the first local business I thought of, they helped me out of a very tricky situation a few years ago when I accidently dropped my keys in Sheffield Canal, I went in to see Louise & Steve and they immediately agreed to help, and Steve with the able assistance of diver Gareth Davison remarkably somehow found the keys at the bottom of the murky depths!!”
He went on to say “It’s only through deals such as this that grassroots football clubs can survive, the help that sponsors give is so valuable and I am delighted that Diveworld agreed to the deal, it’s great to have the backing of such a prominent local business who are leaders in their field”

It was recently announced that Hillsborough Pumas had won the Sheffield & Hallamshire FA’s Charter Standard Community Club of the year award, a feat which everyone involved with the club is tremendously proud of.
Douglas, who is also Hillsborough Pumas Club Secretary said “The FA award is deserved recognition for the efforts of all our players, parents and coaches for the hard work they put in on and off the field, we are delighted to have received such a prestigious award from County FA”
Hillsborough Pumas play in the Sheffield and District Junior Sunday League, which with over 1000 teams and 12,000 players is the largest junior league in the world.
