Respectober- Under 16 Praise
The League has received the following email:
"Hi
I have been within football for the past 16 years as a parent, grand parent and secretary of our club
I have seen football played (shall I say not in the way I would have liked) and the game being spoilt by behaviour of players, parents, coaches and even the referee. But the last two weeks I have witnessed what a game should be played like.
Chapeltown Athletic U16 were drawn at home to Moss Valley U16 in the league and were then drawn again the following week in the cup. Two matches back to back do not always bode well if there are any grievances from the following week but the matches from start to finish were a pleasure to be part of. Both games were tight during the first halves but not once did voices get raised in an inappropriate manner. Players, Coaches and Parents applauded all football for both teams and only encouragement could be heard from all quarters. Our Young Referee for both the games Jacob Guest did an amazing Job and all players and Moss Valley management commented to us re how good he had been, speaking to the players before and during play in a positive manner.
The parents from Moss Valley gave great feedback (at the tea stall ) at how they were actually enjoying coming to a game and asked me to pass on that our parents , coaches and players had made them so welcome. Moss Valley came to us as strangers but we have all parted as friends and cannot wait to go our next game with them. I am hoping that the rest of the games we play can be played in the same spirit as Moss Valley have shown .

Ps The management of Moss Valley and Chapeltown Athletic would not sing their own praises but I did feel that in this case someone should send something in as often you hear bad reports and it is time the good ones were broadcast."
