The League has received the following email
Newly formed Rangers playing International Football.
The newly formed Renishaw Rangers youngsters hosted select teams from Cosmos Utd FC, Taiwan on Wednesday 5th August at Mount St Mary's, Spinkhill.
The Taiwanese teams which age groups of U10's to U14's arrived in England on Monday 3rd August and spent time training with the Football Association before playing the exhibition game against Renishaw.
Jon Daniel, Renishaw Rangers Manager had this to say about the game.
"When we were first asked to play this game my initial thoughts were of the fantastic opportunity it provides for my players.
Our team has only been established a few months and it was a real test but also a treat for all the hard work the players and people connected with the team have put in to get us off the ground.
It was very interesting to see the contrasting styles of football from the teams situated in different continents, and also the different training and coaching methods.
The game was a real exhibition of great football by all teams and a real pleasure to be involved in.
The difference between the teams was the size of the Cosmos Utd players, our lads more than held their own during the game.
All in all it was a great exhibition of football and I'm so proud of all the players involved"
