Possible Funding For Sports Glasses
A number of parents have recently asked about the ruling with regards the wearing of glasses during a match.
A number of leading opticians are now supplying sports glasses for use in high impact sports, such as football, that meet the standards required by the Football Association.
Rather than advertising any particular optician, the advice is to speak to a few of the better known High Street Opticians.
The charity "Caudwell Children", may be able to assist children with a donation towards specialist sports glasses. They are a national charity who help disabled children on a number of levels. They will accept applications from players who need the sports glasses to be able to safely compete as long as the need for the equipment is supported by a medical professional and a coach/manager, then they would be applicable for a donation. They cannot guarantee that the application will be successful as a number of factors are taken into consideration. For further details, click here.

Remember, if a child needs to wear glasses to play football, it is the referee's decision as to whether they feel they meet the standard required.
