Player Power In Junior League
In the recent League survey, it was clear that young people need to have more of a voice in running youth football. They are potential volunteers and an untapped resource to help the growth of clubs and help the League develop.
To help players understand the roles within a club, and within a League a Player Take Over will take place later on this season.
Players will be invited to apply for jobs within the League when the Take Over week is announced. It is hoped clubs will also follow suit by allowing players to take over as club chair, club secretary, team manager etc.
The application process and finer details of the week of activity will be announced in the New Year.
The League hopes clubs will be signing up to take part in the scheme – could you be a team manager for a week? The Club Chairman? League Secretary?
