Sheffield & Hallamshire County FA would like to say a big thank you to all those who took part in our Football v Homophobia Month of Action in February.
FvH wants football to take a clear stand against homophobia so that everyone can enjoy their football , with football leading the way in removing discrimination and prejudice based on gender identity and sexual orientation.
For the record, the winners of the County FA’s competition are as follows:
In 1st place – The Sheffield & District Junior Sunday League
The Sheffield & District Junior Sunday League fully supported the Football v Homophobia campaign producing 15,000 leaflets that were distributed to clubs throughout February raising awareness of FvH. The SDJSFL was also the first league in the country to sign up to support FvH on http://www.footballvhomophobia.com/2015-supporters/
The SDJSL will receive the prize of £50 discount towards a FA Level 1 or 2 Course, with the County FA.
In 2nd place – Renishaw Rangers JFC
Renishaw Rangers actively supported the FvH campaign at their matches throughout February and the players stood tall for photos holding the leaflets the Junior league had produced.
