Kick It Out launches kit design competition
Kick It Out, football’s equality and inclusion organisation, is challenging young people to design a kit for their grassroots, community, or school football team.
The competition, sponsored by BPP University, will see the overall winner have their design created for their entire team.
Entries are split into five distinct age categories, with designs considered from children aged as young as five. Entrants are judged not just on their design, but their answers on how football can help bring communities together.
The winners will be announced at a special event to be held at the National Football Museum on Wednesday 24 June. There will be winners for each of the age categories.
Hayley Bennett, Education Officer for for Kick It Out, said: “Harnessing the creativity and enthusiasm of young people is a really effective way to spread the key Kick It Out messages of equality and inclusion.
“We’re sure young people will get involved with the competition and create a design that reflects their community, our message, and shows off their artistic flair, producing a kit that they and their team will be proud to wear.”
Carl Lygo, Vice Chancellor of BPP University, said: “BPP University are delighted to support Kick It Out’s creative kit design competition.
“Kick It Out and BPP University share many common values, and we’re all really looking forward to seeing what innovative ideas the young people produce for their nominated teams.”
Entry closes on 29 May. Entry packs can be downloaded from here.
