Free defibrillator packages available via British Heart Foundation – Act quickly
The Department of Health has awarded the BHF £1million to increase availability of public access defibrillators and CPR training across England. There are three packages available:
•A free PAD, CPR training kit and cabinet
•A free PAD and CPR kit
•A cabinet to improve accessibility to a current PAD
Cabinets will be unlocked and uncoded as standard.
Successful applications must demonstrate:
•That the defibrillator will be accessible to the public, preferably 24/7
•A commitment to train the local community in CPR
•A clear need for the device such as high footfall or a rural location
Replacement defibrillators will not be funded.
