FA Charter Standard Criteria - FA Coach Bursary Programme
Message from Sheffield and Hallamshire CFA - Football Development Officer:
Dear Club Secretary,
At the beginning of 2015 The FA initiated a review of its FA Charter Standard programme in order to ensure it remains fresh, relevant and useful to its affiliated clubs and leagues. This along with the new National Game priorities has supported the review of the criteria for clubs and leagues. The majority of criteria remain unchanged with a few changes designed to strengthen grassroots football.
Over the coming season we have arranged a large number of courses across the county to allow clubs to be able to fulfil these new coaching requirements, with the exception of a couple of courses that still need venues confirming & the Youth Award Module 3 course (which will be confirmed shortly), there is now a full seasons worth of courses available, all of which can be found at www.sheffieldfa.com under the courses tab (the attached “How to book & FAQ” document should assist you with the booking process).
To help your club in achieving the new standards S&HCFA are currently running a number of discounted courses (available only between now and March 2016) through the FA Coach Bursary Programme. These bursary’s can be accessed by anyone who coaches within a club affiliated to S&HCFA and is a member of the Licensed Coaches Club, the discounts available per person, per course are as follows:
Youth Award Module 1- £50
Youth Award Module 2- £50
Youth Award Module 3- £100
Level 2 Coaching Football- £100
*PLEASE NOTE this is automatically taken off the course fee when you book online
In exchange for the FA Coach Bursary we ask that each coach provides us with the following information (if you wish to book a course on behalf of a coach you will need this information at the time of booking):
-Licensed Coaches Club Number
-Name of Club
-Age group of players
-Gender of the players
-Coaches gender
-Coaches ethnicity
-Is the coach a qualified teacher
If you or any of your coaches have any questions about their Licensed Coach status or any of our courses please do not hesitate to contact our Coach Education Administrator at jade.elson@sheffieldfa.com.
We wish you all the best for the upcoming season.
Kind Regards,
Mark Wozniak
