Club Matters Roadshow - Called Off
The forthcoming Club Matters Roadshow in Sheffield on Thursday 9th April has been postponed and will be rescheduled in due course.
We regret to inform you that the forthcoming Roadshow in Sheffield on Thursday 9th April has been postponed and will be rescheduled in due course.
Guidance was published this week by the Cabinet Office about the activities and conduct permitted by public bodies during the pre-election period. The guidance is designed to ensure that Government Departments and Non-Departmental Public Bodies (NDPBs) such as Sport England do not run any new promotional activities which could distract attention from the election campaign and risk being labelled as activities that could influence voters.
The promotion of publicly-funded programmes (i.e. a roadshow to promote Club Matters) may be in breach of the purdah guidelines and therefore not appropriate for the pre-election period.
PLEASE NOTE - The guidance states that ongoing ‘business as usual’ should continue, meaning the Club Matters online and face to face resources will remain available as normal. It is only additional promotional activity that is restricted.
We will contact you post-election to reschedule this event.
We would like to apologise for any inconvenience caused.
Many thanks
The Club Matters Team
