The Diana Charity
On Wednesday 18 June the Diana Award launched its ‘Celebrate Young Heroes’ campaign in partnership with Talk Direct!
The launch was held at the First Direct Arena in Leeds. Hosted by Kate Hardcastle and supported by X Factor finalists Rough Copy; this event was the announcement of a six month campaign to encourage nominations from across the Yorkshire and Humberside region for the Diana Award. Nominations open on the 1st July 2014. Successful nominations may be invited to a star-studded Award Ceremony at Leeds United Football Club in December 2014.
Kate Hardcastle, Ambassador for the Diana Award, says: “I’m passionate about the Diana Award and that’s why I’ve become an Ambassador for Yorkshire and Humberside. I’ve seen how receiving this award can transform a young person’s life. This is call-out for everyone in Yorkshire and Humberside to make nominations.”

We know there will be young people across Yorkshire and Humberside who deserve this award. For the young people who receive this award often comes at a pivotal time in their life. Through our training, mentoring and development programmes we empower and motivate young people to create positive social changes in their communities.”
