Match Sheets
I’ve just spent around 4 hours checking on line match sheets on Full Time for the Under-10 age group.
Of the 45 games played over last weekend, 23 of the match sheets have errors or are missing important information. (Some have more than one error.)
In addition, I still have 6 or 7 Match Sheets from the first week of the season which are in error or missing information.
Summary of last weekend’s match sheets error/omissions:
Match Sheet not filled in - 6 cases (including one fixture where neither home or away side has completed the Match Sheet)
Missing player statistics. - 10 cases. The 2nd page of the Match Sheet (where player names are ticked so we know who actually played in the game.) In these cases there are no players names ticked.
Referee showed League i.d. or not? - 11 cases where one side reports the referee did show a league i.d. card and the other side indicates the referee didn’t show a league i.d. card
Two different names reported as refereeing the game - 1 case.
The most urgent cases are the 6 match sheets which have not been completed by noon on Thursday September 18th. On these sheets there is no information at all which, at the older age groups, automatically draws a fine.
We cannot stress enough how important it is that the referee information is recorded accurately. (See article on this website regarding referees i.d. cards and CRC/CRB checks)
Please DOUBLE CHECK your Match Sheet entries for last weekend now and note that it is imperative that you stick to the “Match Sheet completed by noon on Thursday after the game” rule please on future fixtures!
If you’re unsure about any aspect of Match Sheet completion - e-mail your registrar who will be happy to advise you.
Thanks!
