The FA and McDonalds launch a new sponsorship programme that outlines McDonalds as The FA’s Community Partner for the next four years.
In addition to their continued support of The FA Community Shield and The FA Community Awards, the new FA McDonalds Community Kit Give Away Scheme that will provide every FA Charter Standard club (with at least one team U16 or below), with a free kit for each of the four years.
To be eligible, each club’s FA Charter Standard accreditation is required to have been ‘Awarded’ or ‘In-Progress’ on 30th June 2014.
All eligible FA Charter Standard clubs should have received an email via their Club Secretary and FA Charter Standard coordinator and be provided with a unique URL and password that will give them access to a newly created portal for ordering their Nike kit. The portal will distinguish between those clubs with U7-U12 teams and those with U13-U16 teams only, allowing them to only order a kit for a team within these age groups.
Clubs will have until the 28th September 2014 to order their kit via this portal.
McDonald’s Better Play is the online home, where parents and clubs can find out all the ways we support grassroots football. You will find details on how to get involved, running a club and even access to once –in –a lifetime opportunities.
Matt Handley, S&HCFA Football Development Officer, said: “This is a fantastic opportunity for all our Charter Standard Clubs and a reward for all the hours of hard work and unpaid commitment to the clubs by all the volunteers, parents and officials. This is another funding opportunity the County FA is able to promote to help all our grass roots clubs.”
